NewsGator and the Day of Goodwill

No the there is nothing important between NewsGator and the Day of Goodwill. Well maybe not for us but perhaps for the people at NewsGator it is not a Day of Goodwill but good news. As reported last December 13 by Mark Hefflinger that NewsGator was able to get some money, around $12 million from Venture Capitalists. Read the article here.

The RSS Reader Services provider will use the money to strengthen its position in the enterprise RSS space. In other words, Newsgator is going to solidify and strengthen its hold on corporate and business users. The company is expanding into a niche market – not as many perhaps as the other RSS Readers but certainly as lucrative. So it must be Happy Egg Nog Day for them.

On the other hand today, at least where I am, is the Day of Goodwill in South Africa, St Stephen’s Day and Boxing Day. Here is an RSS feed made via Google Alerts regarding Boxing day – nothing fancy. Interesting holiday and many stories about it and on how it started.
