Nextlink’s VoIP patent granted in China

  • Nextlink today announces that it’s VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) patent has been approved and granted in China by the Chinese patent authorities
  • The patent covers a wireless communication terminal for IP telephony
  • The patent was granted in Europe in 2004 and in the US in January 2007. A corresponding patent is being processed in Japan and Hong kong. “Nextlink’s patent simply means that a user with a handheld unit (terminal) can establish a call that is firstly transported over a short distance wireless network (WLAN or Bluetooth)and secondly using Internet Protocol ” said CEO Lars Højgård Hansen.
