NFL Football – Let Charles Rogers out of your brain

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
It is obvious that we have to let go of Charles Rogers now that he is gone, but it is just not that easy. If, like your intrepid author, you were a big fan from high school in Saginaw Michigan, or from College at Michigan State University, then all you see is the great talent oozing out of Charles. If you were not, maybe you see the fact that he was a number 2 pick in the NFL Football draft. Maybe it was even the early touchdowns.
Now here is some advice. Let it go. Rod Marinelli is the new attitude police in town. He wants to change this team into a hard working team of grunts that live for football, some real tough guys.
Ok, ok, other coaches, like Bobby Ross tried this and failed. Bobby even drove the icon of Lions football, Barry Sanders, out of town. Still, you know it and your gallivanting author knows it, the attitude change must be done. The players are used to losing and getting knocked around. First let’s stop getting knocked around. That starts with hard work.
Did Charles Rogers deserve to go or was he just an example. There are many opinions on both sides. Some things are for sure, he did not produce. He got in trouble with the NFL over substance abuse, an incident that the Lions are trying to collect 10 million dollars from Charles. He was injured a lot. He has great speed.
Charles Rogers now has money, fame, family, and most likely opportunity. Wish him well. He needs to find his own life. As for the rest of us, let it go!
NFL Football Fan Question Is Rod getting the job done or just another frustrated Lions coach? Will Charles Rogers land with another NFL Football team?
