NFL Football – Miami Dolphins and Joey Harrington

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Don’t look now Detroit Lions fans, Joey Harrington had a successful outing in Miami’s first preseason game. All he did was make some believers out of some Miami area writers.
Of course, all the hoopla was about Daunte Culpepper being able to play. He is marked as the savior. All Joey is trying to do is save his own career.
After being the third pick of the 2002 NFL Draft, poor Joey was thrown to the wolves by the Lions, if that makes any sense. With bad coaching, inexperienced general manager, inept ownership, and just plain awesome fans, it was left to Joey to take some undermanned teams and make them reasonable.
Joey was able to make about 5 great plays the whole time he was playing for Detroit. Yes, your intrepid writer was actually counting them as they happened. Still it seemed that it was not really his fault. He had no line, no backs, no receivers, no nothing. And don’t even get me started with the West Coast non-Offense. Joey is not suited for it and never will be.
So here is to Joey Harrington , and may he be able to resurrect a potentially great career. He took all the fans grief, and yet, it never really seemed to be his entire fault. No, your staying-up-too-late scribe is not insane, the Miami job belongs to Culpepper, yours truly knows that, but Joey may still get his chance and prove it was not all him. All Hail, Joey!
NFL Football Fan Question Most Lions fans have strong feelings on Joey Harrington. How about you?
