NFL Football – Rudi Johnson, the NFL Rudi

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Run Rudi Run
Rudi runs to daylight. See Rudi run. Run Rudi run. Rudi Johnson has the Bengals off to a quick start. He combines with the flamboyant Chad Johnson and the recovering from knee surgery Carson Palmer to offer one of the best triple threats in the NFL.
Although he is the lesser known Johnson on the team, with Chad making all the publicity with the media crowd, Rudi has taken things into his own hands or … should we say legs. Rudi has 3 excellent seasons behind him with the last two over 1400 yards. (Squibster full disclosure – both Rudi Johnson and Carson Palmer are on my fantasy team)
NFL Football Rudi Johnson factoid Rudi Ali Johnson has the middle name of Ali, because mom was a big fan of Muhammad Ali.
The book on Rudi is that he is a power runner and not very elusive, but that just makes sense, because Cincinnati just wants to throw and throw with Carson Palmer to Chad Johnson or T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Think about it, all Chad Johnson has done is have 4 straight 1,000 yard seasons with the last 3 having 90 or more catches. Meanwhile T.J. has had 2 seasons of over 900 yards. That is a lot of catches and a lot of yards. Throw (no pun intended) in the fact that Carson Palmer is still young, has quick feet, a classic delivery style, lots of arm strength, and accuracy to boot!
Now wait a minute, your intrepid author said it makes sense that Rudi is not elusive. Think about it, with the defense back on their heels, (got that picture?), with all the passes zipping in the air, and a veteran offensive line in front of him, Rudi can stuff the running game right up your gazoogie. Even the tight end, Reggie Kelly is more of a blocker than pass receiver.
Pity the fool that thinks they can stop Rudi and the Bengals!
Maybe the best thing is that he is signed for 5 more years. The Bengals stand to be a major triple threat for a long time. When you stop and consider how bad the Cincinnati franchise has been for so long, it gives you goose bumps thinking they could be the next Super Bowl champs.
NFL Football Fan Question They have long been looked at as a sad sack organization, but with Rudi Johnson running to daylight could this be the Bengal’s year?
