New Media Specialist – Baltimore Ravens (Owings Mills, MD)
General Description: Assists in the implementation of website(s) content for the Baltimore Ravens. Maintains and provides ongoing technical and organizational maintenance of the website, including promotions, ad banners, exclusive content in and out of season and other areas for team and partners. Films, edits and uploads audio and video for website. Responsibilities also include integrating work of writers and designers to produce final layout and presentation of www.BaltimoreRavens.com and intranet on a daily basis.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Updates website on a daily basis with articles, photos, videos, etc. and coordinates Internet projects for Business Ventures. Ensures pages are constantly accurate, coordinates timing of updates and communication to other departments and assists with the prioritization of various projects and plans accordingly with other departments.
Liaison to website developer EPIC Cycle, NFL Internet group and other applicable third parties as it pertains to pages controlled by EPIC.
First point of contact with CMS (content management systems), media extranet, internet and intranet issues, problems or concerns.
Works closely with internet writer and manager of advertising and promotions to ensure quick turnaround with valid results in CRM package. This includes cleaning of data and accuracy of emails.
Monitor emerging trends in the internet universe to ensure the team’s web site is up-to-date with these technologies, where and when applicable.
Attend NFL internet meetings to ensure Ravens are in compliance with NFL internet policies.Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a communications, graphic design, or web design/management and at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Proficient in Dreamweaver, HTML and JavaScript coding
Skilled in Adobe Audition audio and Adobe Premiere video editing systems: Flash, Windows Media, Real Player formats
Adept in Adobe Photoshop and Quark
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Prefer experience interacting or contacts within the NFL and/or NFL Network, as well as familiarity with league media assets and the technologies they utilize
Digital Photography experience preferred: Cannon GL2 digital mini-cam, Nikon D-100 still camRequisite Abilities and/or Skills:
Availability to work long irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines
Excellent writing, communication, attention to detail and proof reading skills
