NFL.com looking for a new site to partner with

For the past five or so years NFL.com has been in partnership with sportsline.com run by CBS. According to this article on cnet, that contract is going to run out soon, and the NFL is now looking for a new partner to join up with. (found via MakeYouGoHmm.com)

Possible matches are Google, MSN, Apple, Sony, ESPN, FOX, and NBC.

The deal the site made with CBS sportsline was worth a couple hundred million, and this one will likely be worth a good deal more than that. While any of the sites would probably work out well for the NFL, I’m guessing Google is actually pretty interested, though either MSN or ESPN would get my bet.

Shhh. We didn’t want to announce it just yet as we’re still working out the wrinkles, but watch the blog over the next few days…
