Niche Sites, Niche Sites, Niche Sites Everywhere

Over the last two weeks I have come across a few press releases and news articles about some different niche sites that have sprung up. I am trying to compile my list and review them as fast as possible. Here are a few of the new entries onto the scene:
PetPlaces.com- NetSky holdings entered the pets niche in May, here is the press release for this launch.
The Pittsburgh Post Gazette covered the launch of a few new start ups in this article.
Showclix.com- Is a place for live music lovers where they can swap tickets for shows and discuss the various bands they follow.
Qlique.com- Which will be geared to the same users as MySpace and Facebook while mixing online gaming such as poker and blackjack, however it isn’t listed as gambling site from what I have read.
Gather.com- Described as being for the “National Public Radio set”
55-Alive- Designed for baby boombers.
Geni.com- For genealogy enthusiasts.
Hopefully some of these sites fit into your target market. After I cover the major social networking sites with reviews over the next couple of weeks I am going to begin to get into the nice site reviews a little more.
