Nintendo DSi coming to the US soon!

Nintendo just announced that their latest incarnation of the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo DSi, will be hitting these North American shores on April 5, 2009. That’s like… in 2 months! The hand held system has been selling amazingly fast in Japan, just like everything else that Nintendo has been doing lately. First we had the Wii, then we had the Wii Fit and now I’m sure there will be mass shortages for the Nintendo DSi.
Or will there be?
The new DSi is a lot like the old DS, except that it’s a tad bit smaller, while the screen is a little bit bigger and we can’t forget of course the built in slot for a MicroSD card. What’s a new electronic device if it didn’t have a built in SD card slot? Not a very good device at all. Oh, did I forget to mention the built in camera? Also, there is that new fangled ability for this baby to connect to a new online Nintendo DSiWare shopping channel, which will feature mini games and music downloads. Do I see independently created adventure DSi games in our future? We can only hope so!
The new DSi is priced fairly, in my opinion. It’ll be hitting store shelves with a price tag of $169 and will come in the amazing colors of black and some aqua color. Or maybe it’s turquoise. Yeah, that sounds more like it.
