Nintendo GameCube Disguises as Nintendo Wii at E3?

Recently, a rumour states that the Nintendo Wii consoles at E3 were actually Nintendo GameCube consoles using the next-generation software development kits (SDK). For the actual Wii consoles, they were made to be dummies at E3.
If the above was true, then the Wii console that hit the stores in November may have Xbox 360-like, high definition (HD) graphics, as compared to the so-so graphics shown at E3. Again, some believe that the ATI Hollywood graphics card is not yet completed and the final version of Wii will put the 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) to shame.
The latest Official Nintendo Magazine further illustrates…
While the screenshots (of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz) perfectly illustrate what the game is all about, they’re only in development screens that have come from Gamecube (not Wii) development kits.
Imagine cool graphics with a cool Wii controller from the final version of Wii, it’s just Wiiderful!
