If you didn’t already have it, then you’re going to have to start paying. Microsoft has announced that it will no longer offer the Microsoft Office 2007 beta’s for free. Microsoft will begin charging $1.50 to get the beta.

What do you think?

I think that charging for pre-release software that you can’t get any support for, nor is completely stable should ever cost money, especially since there is an expiry date, that it will stop working on. This is just a money grab from the people that don’t have MSDN memberships that include the betas, especially the people that don’t belong to large companies, but want to see the new software that’s coming out.
