No Wii Sports Sequel in the Works

Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata, announced that a sequel to the very popular Wii Sports was not in the plans. The reason stated was simply that Nintendo doesn’t want to take the “easy route” by creating games they have already created before. They’d rather keep the public guessing and create new and exciting titles.
I’m all for new titles, but I admit I wouldn’t mind a few extra Wii Sports to play with.

Check out what others are saying about this post...[...] Wii Sports is in a different category by itself because you aren’t pretending to be players on the screen. You are the player. Your personal sports ability dictates how well you’ll do in the game. That doesn’t mean that you have to be a start to do well…but you have to be able to swing a bat and punch at an opponant to do well. Ok, ok…I know that Wii Sports isn’t a “new” game. But come on.
