I found this website today and this article caught my attention because about an hour ago I made a decision to remove vista ultimate 64 bit from my best ‘high end’ machine and load the 32 bit version.
At first I liked the notice-able “snappiness” of the improved performance and when I loaded a new game, from my favorite series, with no problems I was impressed (lot’s of 64 bit disaster stories). And...
...I was proud of my “4.4 rating” But I later found a fair number of my preferred programs wouldn’t install and when I loaded my favorite game, a 1st person shooter, I noticed that when I use the up and right arrow keys to move forward at an angle the picture / game play started jumping at a rate that matched a notice-able key conflict between the forward & right keys and while I was testing the game after repair attempts I found the over all performance problems made the game intolerable.
I just don’t see the sacrificing of favorite, familiar programs, the lack of general compatibility and the slightly glitchy-ish way the OS responds to problems & errors.
My 2nd best pc running vista ultimate 32 bit (4.2 rating)  and it is running the same games / programs & all my pc “good stuff” FLAWLESSLY.
Although no conclusions, ‘formal opinions’ or speculative indications, regarding or indicative of Windows Vista, would be allowed or accepted this early in its initial evaluation…
….I
actually
kinda…
…like it
