SEX SELLS!

Webpronews.com talks about the use of a social networking sites to push a product. Italian beverage company Campari has done it rather successfully.

..as company representatives report that the “Hotel Campari” website
received 170, 000 views. In fact, 13.5% of the traffic to the beverage
company’s site was from social networking sites.

Their myspace profile has been a hit, they also have used this character on Youtube and Flickr as well.

This was one approach that I wanted to talk about. Using a model to attract traffic, obviously you can obtain relative success with it. Campari has taken it a bit further with the creation of a character which I think is a brilliant move. I think their profile is a study of clever social networking marketing.
