Terminator Salvation hits theaters today and it is definitely one of the year’s most hyped and highly anticipated films. The movie is set in 2018 and we finally get to see what life is like after Judgment Day.

Of course, John Connor (Christian Bale) survived as most of the world was annihilated and he, along with the other survivors, try to work together to bring down Skynet and the Terminators. I wrote an earlier post that contained a more detailed description of the film, including production stills and a 4-minute trailer,
I know that quite a few people have questioned the timing of this film (due to the current state of the world’s economy) since it does follow a pretty dark and grim storyline but I am optimistic. Maybe the movie will end with a strong message of hope that people can identify with. I think that it will easily win the box office race this weekend since the only other new movies that could challenge it are Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and Dance Flick and the traffic to Star Trek and Angels and Demons has likely died down. I do think it’s cool that young Anton Yelchin is staring in both Trek and Salvation so it’s got to be pretty cool for him to be in two huge movies right now.
If you go to see Terminator Salvation this weekend, let me know what you thought of it!
