Now on Blu-ray: “Heat”

The 1995 movie, Heat, is one of the best heist films ever made, in my very humble opinion.  It really does have it all – a great cast, good storyline, cool cinematography and amazing effects.

The plot follows a Los Angeles cop (Al Pacino) as he pursues a troubled villain (Robert De Niro).  There are so many layers to the story.  The detective has some serious problems at home.  Throw Val Kilmer into the mix as one of De Niro’s criminal partners and you’ve got some major star power on the screen.

The movie is long so if you are planning to pick up a copy, make sure you’ve set aside almost three hours.  Since the story moves along as such a riveting pace you won’t even notice.
