Now on DVD: “Push”

I seriously can’t believe it but that movie Push starring Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning is already out on DVD!  I am definitely going to rent it but, if there’s one thing I’ve heard viewers complain about, it’s the overcomplicated storyline.  Hopefully, the visual effects will make up for any confusion.

Of course, I’m going to see the movie and realize how wrong (or right!) I was when I say that, based on the trailers, this reminds me of a cross between Jumper (a terrible film, in my opinion) and X-Men. The main characters appear to have some special powers but, unfortunately, some government agency wants to spoil all the fun by tracking them down and turning them into weapons of some sort.

The main thing that attracted me to this film was the fact that this is the first movie where Dakota Fanning appears to be more than just a little girl.  I don’t know why it’s so trippy but I guess some part of me will think she’s eight years old forever.

I’m not even going to try to get more descriptive about the plot (even the online summaries are confusing) but, hopefully, you’ll get a good idea of what it’s about from the trailer:
