Whiteout hit theaters yesterday and the reviews so far have not been great. As of this moment, Rotten Tomatoes has assigned it a rating of 7%. If the movie really is that bad it sucks because they have been promoting it like crazy.

The story unfolds in Antarctica where (as the trailer points out in a scary voice) there is “no permanent population,” “no horizon” and “no shadows.” Of course, there’s lots of snow out there which seems to make it a great place for unexplained phenomena.
I’ve heard people compare it to Cloverfield but I think it looks more like Event Horizon or Sphere since it’s all about a crew being attacked by some strangeness in a desolate place.
Check out the trailer. I’ve got to say that Kate Beckinsale is still looking pretty hot but that hair is atrocious.
