Oasis May Wait Five Years For Next Album

If you love British band, Oasis, you might be waiting a long time before you hear any new music.  Noel Gallagher revealed in an interview with Q that, after the band finishes the tour for their current album, Dig oasis poster Out Your Soul, he may focus on releasing a solo album.  Apparently, the singer has stockpiled songs since 2000.  “I’ve got a lot of songs lying around and some of them are really great,” says Gallagher. “But they’re not Oasis songs. They’re going to sit there and do nothing, so hopefully at the end of this tour I’m going to go and do something for myself.”

I’m not sure I can blame Noel for wanting to branch out on his own and I’m actually a little surprised that it didn’t happen sooner.  I know that I would run screaming from the band if Liam Gallagher was my brother.  Noel did have some things to say about their relationship:  “He’s never seen my little lad (Noel’s son with his partner, Sara MacDonald), just pictures.  To a stranger it sounds ludicrous, but you wouldn’t have him in the house if he spoke to you the way he speaks to me and my family.  He’s rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy. He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.”

Wow… At least he’s being honest.  I’ve never understood how they could even be from the same family so, sorry Oasis fans, I hope Noel is successful and leaves Liam in the dust.
