Obama Said To Favor ‘Swedish Model’ For U.S. Bank Nationalization
President Would Hire Only Sexy Blondes as Tellers
The Obama Administration appears to favor plans to nationalize major U.S. banks, according to a recent article in the Financial Times.
Of course, no one’s calling it “nationalization” but instead are using the more palatable euphemism of “the Swedish model.” Because, after all, who doesn’t like Swedish models? They’re blonde, sexy and say, “Ja, Ja” to everything you ask them to do. Just like you want your banks to do.
Even Republicans like Lindsay Graham, John McCain and the suddenly contrite Alan Greenspan are advocating nationalization. Because what this country needs right now are more financial institutions modeled after the blazingly successful FNMA and Freddie Mac agencies.
This appears to be a no-brainer for Federal officials because it involves power, money and everybody being able to high-five each other about bipartisanship.
Not to mention, hot tunes and sexy girls…

Maybe we’d like to consider Sweden’s low corporate tax rate, zero inheritance tax and successful privatization of nearly the entire economy as well. Granted, maybe that didn’t work so well with their techno music…

Thanks for your nice article.
I agree with you in the fact that financial institutions in the US need to be nationalized to get over the current economic recession in the country. This strategy helped United States during 1930’s Great Depression.
I agree with your comment that nationalizing the banks in the 1930s helped make the depression “Great.”
