OblinQ’s Do-It-Yourself Widget

July 7, 2008 by Juned

Here is one way of creating a widget like NewsGator. OblinQ offers this service/on-line app that creates RSS widget for display.

Widgets are the new ways of displaying RSS feeds. These can be used several ways:

1. Display your feeds.
2. Display your other feeds
3. Display feeds that are related to your blog/website

At present it seems to accept only on feed. I could be wrong. But it seems better if it could accept more than one feed.

At present OblinQ supports only one feed. We are planning on including multiple feeds.
However the real power of OblinQ is you can gather your own articles, products, videos from anywhere on the web and show your own feed. News as you find interesting and worthwhile.

Please try that out at http://www.oblinq.com

Just wanted to clarify. OblinQ Rss Widget is additionaly supported by out online site http://www.oblinq.com where users can grab content they link and syndicate their own feed.
So instead of multiple feeds, users can combine the content from various feeds into their own edited version and source that feed into the RSS widget.
