I don’t necessarily agree with her politics, but she sounds like a pretty intelligent woman. Things like y’know are the sort of brain farts that the better orators are able to avoid. As far as her saying “cool,” I think it sounds unprofessional. I didn’t mind it so much the first time but when she said that her job as Alaskan governor was “cool,” that struck me as just something to say but completely lacking in substance.

Sarah Palin’s name was familiar to animal lovers long before she was tagged to be John McCain’s running mate. She’s the politician who, via a loophole in federal legislation, has promoted aerial hunting of wolves in Alaska, going as far as to enthusiastically offer a $150 bounty for the severed foreleg of each wolf killed.

Aerial hunting is the practice of chasing an animal — in Alaska’s case, gray wolves — to exhaustion by plane or helicopter and then landing and shooting the defenseless, cowering animal. It is cruel, inhumane, and barbaric. What kind of person would want to torture beautiful wild animals this way? I’d never vote for a ticket that included someone who promotes this type of sick cruelty toward animals.

WOW, you guys are pretty darn picky. I suppose you’d prefer somebody who purchases their property from crooks, hangs out with people that likes to bomb things, and gets his mentoring from those that say God has damned America.. that’s interesting.. I think I will take a couple of “cools” and “ya knows” over THAT any day of the week..

Although I agree with Angela’s remark, “I’d prefer an authentic person that uses the word “cool” over somebody that is worried about the “pc” thing to say,” I do think there’s a time and a place, and a certainly level of language that I expect in this arena, and “cool” and “ya know” definitely go against my expectations.

Actually, it sounds like she knows exactly what she’s doing.

She’s doing a great job for Alaska and she hasn’t even been in office all that long.

I like people that can use the words “cool” and be real when they answer questions.

I’d prefer an authentic person that uses the word “cool” over somebody that is worried about the “pc” thing to say.

She seems like a wide open book to me with nothing to hide.

Perhaps it’s time you did some real digging on Palin. I’m sure you’d find lots of nice things after reading about her over on my blog.
