Oh well…

How great it would have been had the Bangladeshi’s pulled it off, but even in defeat, I think you can really only commend them for what is undoubtedly their best ever test match result. Despite losing, to even have Australia on the ropes as on day 2 they so clearly were, is an incredible achievement for any team let alone for the undisputed worse team on the International scene. With Australia requiring just 95 runs with 6 wickets in hand, and best-bat-in-the-world Ricky Ponting at the crease, it seemed a fairly unlikely task. But Australia still managed to lose three wickets in succesfully chasing down the runs to secure the victory, showing an unusual vulnerability in the World Champions. Hopefully match 2 of the 2 match series will see more good cricket from both sides.
