Olympic Handball Field Set

The competitors for the Olympic handball tournament were finalized this past weekend at qualifying events in Paris, Wroclaw (Poland), and Zadar (Croatia). The men’s teams vying for handball gold in Beijing are Egypt, Croatia (pictured above), Spain, France, Iceland, Poland, Russia, Germany, Brazil, China, and Denmark.

The women’s teams are China, Germany, Angola, Brazil, Korea, France, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Norway, Russia, and Sweden.

The Olympic handball matches will be held at the Olympic Sports Center and the National Indoor Stadium in Beijing. The competition begins on August 9 and concludes on August 23 for the women and August 24 for the men.
