Wii take 0501

Japanese swimmer Kosuke Kitajima won the gold in Beijing this year for the 100m breast stroke event, and thanks his Wii for helping to get him where he is. Part of his Olympic training apparently included some Wii gaming.

“Mario does the breaststroke. And thus, it’s perfect mental training for envisioning the actual Olympic hall” Kitajima said.

No doubt Kitajima will be getting some calls from Nintendo in the near future. Nothing says sponsorship like an Olympic gold medal. lol

That’s really smart on his part if Nintendo does integrate him into one of their ad campaigns.
