On DVD: “The Pink Panther 2”

As if remaking the first one wasn’t enough, Steve Martin, agreed to breathe new life into The Pink Panther 2, which becomes available on DVD today. In the first flick, Martin starred alongside singer, Beyoncé Knowles, but in this one, he gets a new co-star – gorgeous Bollywood actress, Aishwarya Rai.

In this installment, (according to IMDb), “Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Martin) teams up with a squad of International detectives who are just as bumbling as he is. Their mission: Stop a globe-trotting thief who specializes in stealing historical artifacts.”
In addition to Martin and Rai, the film features an all-star cast including John Cleese, Jeremy Irons, Lily Tomlin, Jean Reno, Emily Mortimer, Alfred Molina, and Andy Garcia. Unfortunately, critics largely panned the film with Rotten Tomatoes assigning a grade of 13% (ouch).
I haven’t seen it and I don’t particularly plan to but it could make for a couple hours of silly fun. Watch the trailer and come to your own conclusions:
