On DVD: “Journey To the Moon”

July 20, 2009 marks the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11’s journey to the moon. Commander Neil Armstrong stepped out of that lunar module and delivered one of our generations most famous quotes: “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
Of course, as with any major milestone in history, there has been controversy surrounding this voyage.
Some have claimed that NASA doctored the images and believe that the Americans never made it to the moon at all. Unfortunately, NASA lost the original photos (but may have found them again…) so that only fueled conspiracy theorists.
For those who want to remember the event and commemorate the occasion, the DVD Journey to the Moon: The 40th Anniversary of Apollo 11 was released earlier this week. The six-disc set features documentaries including reflections by Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin.
