On The Cover, Jay Yelas

    This month’s issue of FLW Outdoors magazine is sporting a picture of the FLW Tour’s 2007 Angler of the Year, Jay Yelas and man does he look cool holding that trophy. With his head tilted in a nod fashion and spearing his eyes right back at you as he slightly lowers his shades, he appears to be saying, “What are you looking at”? My reply, “That big honkin’ trophy you’re cradling”.

      While it is a known fact that swimbaits played a huge role in helping Yelas secure his AOY title, in this issue he divulges some pretty good insight as to how he attacks them deep. I can say that there weren’t any secrets given, but when the AOY gives any information as to his thoughts on swimbaiting, you should probably listen.
