On Wednesday, ESPN Will Attempt to Kill Your Brain

Remember a couple years ago, when the Yankees and Mets played a home-and-home double-header, with the a game at Shea and a game at Yankee stadium on the same day? That was pretty cool, if not ultimately pointless. Well, ESPN, in their infinite genius, has decided to give us a Joe Morgan doubleheader, something ultimately pointless but unecessarily cruel. Morgan will announce the afternoon Mets game, then travel across town via police escort for the Yankees-Tigers night game. So we’ll get twice the inane old-timey misinformation as usual. Great. This probably isn’t the worst thing the NYPD has done, but it’s got to be up there. Really, if any ESPN personality should be on air twice as much as usual, it should be the lovely Erin Andrews. She’s purdy.
