One of my FAVE brands reaching out
Haagen-Dazs is definitely getting it. They have managed to do so much in so “little” time. They keep getting better and better, not only marketing wise, but just all around. It’s remarkable, as Mr. Godin would say.
I found a piece of news I thought I’d share. Haagen-Dazs, which happens to be one of my favorite brands, and definitely favorite ice cream vendors, is holding a community-driven event.
They are inviting YOU to think up a new flavor. They will take user submissions at http://www.haagen-dazs.com/scoop . Once the entry date is over, judges will decide on the top 10 flavors and post them on the website for users to vote on. Finally, the top choice will actually be produced and marketed next year.
I am completely loving this promo: not only will they be engaging consumers and bringing them into a more complete brand experience, but they will get a marketable (consumer picked, so in theory they will like it) product for their next year portfolio. Brilliant!
