One Vote Matters. But will it be counted?

On Saturday the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Rules and Bylaws Committee will meet to decide the “fate” of the Florida and Michigan delegations.

As you will recall, both Michigan and Florida violated DNC rules and held their (respective) primaries earlier than permissible; as a result, the DNC negated the results and has refused to include the delegates as part of the nominating process.

Hillary Clinton won both primaries and would narrow the gap between herself and Barack Obama if the delegates are assigned as voted. However, Senator Obama’s name was not on the Michigan ballot (he and other candidates petitioned to have their names removed) and at the time of the primaries, all of the candidates agreed to not campaign in the offending states

It is not clear as to what the the committee will rule, however, the door remains open for them to do as they see fit. Two court challenges in Florida have been denied; most recently, a Federal Judge in Tampa confirmed that the DNC has the right to make its own rules and enforce them.

DNC rules dictate that a state delegation will be lessened by (at least) 50% as a result of violations such as those committed AND the DNC circulated a memo on Tuesday advising the rules committee that they have the power to unseat all of the delegates, from both states.

CNN will live stream the meeting on CNN Live.

To appease the Iowa and New Hampshire voters back in January Hillary was saying that the Florida and Michigan delegations should not be seated because they broke the rules. Now, of course, she’s saying seat them otherwise I’ll never win.

How can she say she “won” Michigan. Guess what? I just ran down the block by myself and I *WON* that race!!!! Woo-hoo! Where’s my trophy?
