mint-picI recently found an online financial tool called Mint.com which can help you better manage your finances. It allows you to connect your online financial accounts all in one place. When I found out about this financial tool, I decided to give it a try.

Below are some of my findings:

  • Sign-up process took less than 5 minutes to complete
  • I was able to add my banking, investment, PayPal and other financial information quickly and easily
  • Mint.com has received many awards (click here to learn more about their awards)
  • Automatic alerts can be either emailed to you or sent to your cell phone
  • You can even manage your student loans, value of your home and car
  • For iPhone users, you will be able to easily manage your accounts using your phone
  • It’s FREE!

Go ahead and try out Mint.com for yourself and come back to give me your feedback about your experience.

I have a problem with Mint that others need to know about. If you have a two-step log-in for your bank account, Mint won’t work. Many banks are going to more secure log-ins and forcing you to go through several steps. Mint can’t handle this. I tried one day for a long time, finally found comments by many people who said they had the same experience. I’m sure Mint is trying to figure this out, because they lose people (like me!) who can’t use their service.

Actually, I haven’t had any problems using Mint and my bank has a double login. Have you contacted Mint to make them aware of the issue? I think that would be a good place to start. Hopefully everything will work out for you.
