Online Video for Marketers

As both an online video star and a marketing executive, Kevin Nalts walks between two worlds. That’s why he’s perfectly positioned to serve as a geek translator for suits when it comes to online video. For the businesspeople in your life who still aren’t inside online video, here’s a slideshow from Kevin to get them started.

One point that did jump out at me was the feasibility of tying up with established online video stars. Just like written blogs, video blogs need time to develop loyal audiences. I’ve seen many companies make the mistake of expecting overnight success with their own social media marketing sites, arrogantly thinking themselves above partnering with prosumers, only to get disappointed and swear off all forms of social media.

Marketers need to engage key opinion leaders, and that’s especially true when those leaders broadcast themselves.
