Opening Today “I Love You Beth Cooper”

Heroes hottie, Hayden Panettiere, is heading to the big screen today in her new movie, I Love You Beth Cooper. The plot is interesting enough, I guess. At his high school graduation, the valedictorian decides to lay it all out there – he tells Beth Cooper that he loves her and he insults former graduates who continue to hang around their old school instead of getting “adult” friends.
He ruffles some feathers but he accomplished his goal – he got Beth’s attention. She agrees to come to a party at his house (along with her two girlfriends who, together, are known as “the trinity”) and, of course, things don’t go as planned. They end up spending the evening trying to stay out of trouble but they end up making things worse.
Truly, it looks like they are going for a Superbad meets American Pie type of flick but I think the writing is not as good (the casting isn’t either) and the jokes aren’t as clever. Still, you might enjoy it if you’re looking to spend a couple hours mindlessly watching a teen movie. Check out the trailer:
