Orkut Redesigned

Okay, I’ll admit it: the only reason I joined Orkut was to see Marissa Mayer’s profile. Yes, I have a huge crush on the adorably geeky Vice President of Google, the world’s most powerful geek babe, the woman who talks faster than most humans can think. Deal with it.

Nevertheless, Orkut’s recent redesign caught me by surprise, rounded corners and all. It deviates considerably from the minimalistic look of Google properties; for a second there, I thought I was on an MSN site. It’s certainly prettier than Facebook and Friendster (MySpace is just dog ugly). Despite the fact that it’s mostly Brazilians, I just might spend some time poking around Google’s social network.
