Outlook 2003 and Business Contact Manager and ACT!

December 7, 2006 by Jason Bean

Pardon this post, I know it’s not directly related to Office 2007, but I’m in need of some assistance.

I’m working with a client who’s trying to import records from ACT into BCM. Everything’s gone fine so far but trying to get the “Notes” field of the ACT! contacts into the appropriate corresponding field in BCM. Has anyone done this? Do you have a map of what needs to go where and how to validate the right notes go to the right contacts?

Let me know by e-mail or in the comments.

Thanks.

I have just installed BCM to my 2003 Outlook/Office. It appears as installed in the directory but I can not get it to aqppear anywheree in Outlook. When i SELECT THE iCON “Enable Outlook Business Manager” I get the error/messagge that it has already been enabled and I must restart. I still ccan not find it in the Outlook program.

    Thanks for any siuggestions.

    Brad,
I just went through the same thing.
this is what worked for me:
    1) Download all updates related to “Outlook 2003 with Business contact manager SP2″ and “Outlook 2003 SP3″
    2) In Outlook: open “Help”- “About Microsoft Outlook”- then click on button “Disabled Items”.
    3) You should see that Business Contact Manager is disable- enable and restart your computer and Outlook.

    Cheers, Casey
