Palin is popular, but with whom?

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released today reveals that Governor Sarah Palin has an impressive approval rating…

with men.

62% of the men polled have a “favorable opinion” of Palin, compared to 53% of women. 57% of male respondents viewed Palin as “qualified” while only 43% of female respondents answered that way. As a whole, 50% of those polled said that Palin was qualified for the job of Vice President; 70% of those polled said that Senator Joe Biden was qualified.

But the surveyees’ confidence in Biden’s ability to do the job did not translate to overall support. According to the poll, if “separate votes would be cast for President and Vice President” 53% would vote for Sarah Palin and 44% would vote for Joe Biden.

It is interesting to see that male voters are backing the Palin choice for McCain’s running mate.

It would be really interesting to see what Hillary Clinton supporters think of her.

Disappointing and not surprising– yet another example of form over substance.

The temporary enamor with Sarah will soon fade once the public finds out how unqualified she is to take over should something happen to McCant. If the voters take him/her over Obama/Biden, then please don’t complain on my shoulder – I have no sympathy for any of you. Another 4 years of the same economic policies will give you a lot of pleasure watching her on the screen in the local store because yours was re-possessed.

Sorry folks – this is a REAL election, not a beauty pageant or a personality contest. We need meat and potatoes people who realize our country is going down the tubes and are willing to change the course for ALL Americans, not just a partisan side. I can’t buy Palin. McCant….you goofed up BIGtime.

I am an Alaskan Male who did not vote for Sarah Palin when she ran for Governor because I didn’t think she had enough experience for that position. If I could change my vote I would vote for Sarah Palin. She has proven to have a true understanding of how government works and she has done an amazing job dealing with the dominant Oil Companies and Legislators who have not been doing business in the best interest of the people for many years. She is all about the people of Alaska and the USA. She has no personal agenda, except to serve the people. As Governor she has set a great example of how the government should be run, for the people. I have no question in my mind after seeing her clean up Alaska government in the last two years as governor that she is indeed qualified to not only be Vice-President of the United States but could step in as President and do a great job for all, and possibly in the end be considered the best President that the USA has had for decades.

  4. Palin is a candidate (and woman) I can relate to and identify with. She has been busy, not just making money from speeches and from writing books, but doing good things for real people. She has been busy taking care of her 5 kids, sharing family duties with her husband who earns his living doing honest work, and living the American life enjoying recreation and being involved in her children’s lives.

I never felt like Hillary Clinton knew how the rest of us live or undersand our issues and challenges. Her life as a First Lady for 8 years, and as the wife of a former president has offered her privileges that the common citizen cannot relate to, nor can she relate to us. Palin is real, juggles real-life “stuff,” and has done it well.

Educated Voter speaks like a true Democrat. Knows nothing about the subject but sheds his narrow beam of thought on the subject to be noticed, uses words that no one uses to attempt to show intelligence. I agree this is not a beauty pageant, but just because she happens to beautiful doesn’t mean she is stupid and incapable of doing the job. Beauty is only skin deep unless you look further as all Alaskans have had the opportunity to see. She has an 80+ approval rating as Governor of Alaska, because she has done a great job for us, as she will as the next VP of the USA.

Sarah Palin wasn’t even aware that Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were privately owned companies. Does she know anything of life outside of Alaska? I think not. I despair of the intellect of the American voter at times.

It’s not surprising, however, that men support her more than women. She’s a very sexually attractive, barbie doll version of a feminist. Feisty, but not threatening. Female voters are looking more at the issues. Men are looking at the form. The thought of her having to step in as president scares me to death. World leaders would chew her up and spit her out. I don’t take this woman seriously; would Vladmir Putin take her seriously? Doubtful. I don’t want someone who will mix religion and policy making. That is Sarah Palin. The church she attends is frightening in its cloistered, fundamentalist vision.

So, these articles are suggesting that the majority of men are stupid because they support Palin??

That is almost as ignorant as suggesting she should be staying home and taking care of her kids instead of having a career.

The Obama supporting leftists in the media just can’t seem to get a grasp on what the average American wants and desires in a candidate.

Obama-Biden sure as heck doesn’t have it.

    McCain-Palin surely does.

    McCain-Palin ‘08

    Country First, politics last.

  8. galveston says:

I’m an average citizen. McCain/Palin sure doesn’t have what I need.
