Paparazzi Snapshot Goes Mobile

This is so far beyond sad and frightening that I really don’t know what to say…

Celebrity gossip, and the lust for it, is at an all time high at the moment. Everything from celebs doing their groceries to poor Britney once again flashing her hoo-haa is fair game and any methods possible are often employed to take “the shot” that would make the photographer a millionaire. Total lack of scruples, morals, and ethics in the interest of informating us poor schlubs that Angelina does, on a rare occasion, have a bad hair day or that JT re-adjusted himself when he thought no one is looking, is sitting on a razor fine point. People want the dirty details, but as more and more horrid paparazzi stories come to light, there’s backlash against those taking the pictures as well.

So how better, thinks mobile developer I-play, to highlight the issue and present as the un-glamourous scum-sucking business that it is, than to make a video game about it? I know! How could someone not have thought of this sooner? Now you too can participate in a “photo action adventure” that:

combines all our guilty pleasures into one entertaining package, taking the massively popular hidden object game concept, adding adventurous quests, and some tongue-in-cheek tabloid gossip to the mix. As a photographer moving up in the photo journalism world, you will take pictures of some of the hottest celebrities ever: the pregnant star, the leading man, the lip-synching pop singer, Bigfoot, they’re all money-making photo opps. But beware, you must dodge body guards, build your reputation and earn cash along the way in order to become the top hotshot, dirt-digging tabloid photo-journalist you know you are.

Apparently this reprehensible excuse for a video game has been available for a while now on PC. I don’t know, I just think this might be a bridge too far in a very volatile and sensitive area at the moment.
