Parallels Plays New York + Music Video

It was a cold middle-of-winter evening of last year when a group of friends headed to The Legion Hall in Toronto, Canada to check out a friend of a friends new band called Parallels. I didn’t know what to expect. I knew that the drummer, Cameron Findlay, was the former drummer in Crystal Castles and there was no doubt in mind I was going to be impressed. When the lead vocalist Holly Dodson came up to the mic and performed their first song, I was in awe. Time literally stood still because finally, this was a band that got it right! I should also mention I have a weakness for synthesizers, something that Joey Kehoe masters.

Tour Dates and Music Video After the Cut.

Since that first show Parallels has been very busy recording new songs, playing locally, and planning their U.S. Tour. Their first EP “Ultralight” was released on UK indie label Thisisnotanexit Records and was recorded in Marigold Studios in Toronto. The songs on the EP “Dry Blood”, “Ultralight”, and “Midnight Voices” are worth a listen and I assure you that you’ll be just as impressed as I am.

Currently they are working on a full length album scheduled to be out sometime soon.

For all of you that live in New York, San Fransisco, or Los Angeles you will be graced with their presence this autumn. Seeing them live is a must!!!
