Paranoia + Game = $2.5million

So I just ran across this lovely article on Yahoo!, where a Radiologist was awarded $2.5 million because he was falsely accused of being a terrorist. His apartment was searched, he was handcuffed, and interrogated by the FBI, and why?
Because the woman who came in to replace his furnace filters mistook a “popular” (yet undisclosed) flight simulator game for a flight manual, household dust for bomb-making chemical residue, and the English version of the Koran for Arabic literature.
Hey, I’ve got dust! I’ve got games! Come search me! I could use a few million dollars.

All you can do is shake your head. Paranoia and idiocy, great combo.
I’m scared to think of what would happen if they got any of my AIM conversations. My chats with fellow gamers often include ideas and new ways to kill people (strictly within the games of course) ;)
You’ve got to be joking…
Well this is happening inside the U.S. and I’m glad that I don’t liv…oh wait…nevermind, I do. So much for that.
People are so intent on being “heroes” that they’re willing to turn in their own gradmothers just to get a freaking medal and to have their picture in the newspaper. I’m so glad the guy was compensated.
It’s a nightmare here…
