Patch Tuesday a Big Deal This Month
Yesterday, Microsoft released a whopping 12 security patches (9 for Windows, 1 for IE, 2 for Office), including several critical patches. One of them, an ActiveX patch will fix a patent issue that stemmed from a lawsuit with Eolas over how ActiveX interacts with Internet Explorer.
Other flaws fixed:
- Users cannot send e-mail messages from a mobile device or from a shared mailbox in Exchange 2000 Server and in Exchange Server 2003
- a zero-day flaw in Word 2003
