Patrick Kerney has got to help the Seahawks and other deals

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Player movement abounds!
The Seattle Seahawks signed DE Patrick Kerney to a six-year, $39.5 million deal including $19.5 million in guaranteed money. source
Seattle needs something on defense and Patrick can still pressure a quarterback. It is a lot of money to dole out for a 9 year veteran coming off a major injury last season, but the Seahawks needed to show some kind of commitment to defense.
The Dallas Cowboys reached agreement Monday night with free agent quarterback Brad Johnson on a three-year, $7.5 million deal. Johnson will be reunited with Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, his former teammate in Tampa Bay.
Short pass throwing Brad could not get the job done in Minnesota and will probably be nothing but a backup to Romo in Dallas.
Running back Travis Henry agreed to a five-year contract for $22.5 million that includes $12 million worth of guaranteed money with the Denver Broncos. Henry was scheduled to visit Oakland, Green Bay and the New York Giants and those visits were cancelled after he reached the deal with the Broncos. The Broncos also bolstered their backfield, signing St. Louis free-agent fullback Paul Smith, a special teams maven, to a three-year contract.
They let go Tatum Bell and signed Travis Henry. Will he be sharing the backfield with Marcus Bell? Denver needed to get a touchdown against the 49ers at the end of the season and could not get it done. They shopped for McGahee and finally signed Henry, in spite of injuries and a league substance abuse suspension in his past.
The plan is to make Travis the feature back. (you knew the tandem trend was over, didn’t you?)
NFL Football Fan Question Looks like a plus for the Seahawks and Broncos and a breakeven for the Cowboys. How do you read it?
