Patriots Fans Really Can Take a Joke

. . . or else this blogerette wouldn’t be linking to a post (with video clip, 33s) about David Letterman making fun of the Patriots.
The joke was enough to make this post-Super Bowl crankypants Pats fan smile (and nod vigorously in shoulder-shrugging agreement):
Tom Brady from the New England Patriots and Randy Moss from the New England Patriots will not be at the Pro Bowl . . . Not a surprise, they didn’t show up for the Super Bowl, either.
It’s a Week After The Morning After. It’s about time we can find a wee bit of humor in it. And now that some time has passed, the Patriots aren’t dead to us anymore. They’re a little less so, maybe only something like “comatose” to us instead.
Baby steps, people. We’re taking baby steps here. (You in the back! No jokes about the fact that Tom Brady’s kid should be taking “baby steps” right around now, too).

I love Letterman and I love the Patriots…. so I can swallow a good-natured joke from my favorite late-night man about my favorite team. Thanks for the link, Jodie! You rock!
See? That’s at least two of us who can take a joke.
And they say we’re obnoxious. Pffft!
All that cheating and we still didn’t win. We knew Eli was going to throw to Plaxico and Tyree on those plays and Ellis Hobbs and Rodney Harrison still blew it. In about a month when we have our team award ceremony I’m going to [uh, let's just say "sodomize"] every player on our teams kids and infect them with herpes. And if I ever catch Eli in a back alley I’m going to make him [pull a Monica Lewinsky] while holding an ice pick in case he even thinks about biting down.
See Bill, this need to vent is exactly why you made our list of “10 Guys Who Need a Valentine’s Day Hug.”
