PayPal Expands In Africa
My blogger friend Oluniyi David Ajao, is now reporting that PayPal has expanded their operations to include more countries in Africa.
PayPal is now accessible in these countries.
Algeria, Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon Republic, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia.
David further says,
“Good as it sounds, it is important to note that users in all the African countries covered by PayPal, can only send, but cannot receive money. They cannot receive payments online even if they are online merchants. This is far better than not being included at all as users in the countries can at least pay for online services or send money to other PayPal users via the Internet.”

Whar are the conditions that need to be fulfilled for a country like the one I am a resident of,Cameroon,be “admitted to the club” ?There are banks galore. I work with one that issues Visa cards, and it works. What are we waiting for ?
David, thank you for your comment and that is a very good question. I’m sure a ton of people would like to know the answer to this. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what it takes to ‘qualify’ for the club but I will look into it and post what I can find.

Well I have opened an account with paypal, the problem is I can not add some money for shopping cos I dont have any credit card and so far I have not got any other way to do so,
what do I need then close it ?
I appreciate the effort made by paypal to include Africa in the paypal league, I however feel discriminated as an online marketer from Kenya by not receiving my commissions through paypal. What effort is being undertaken to ensure fair play
