Perrilloux Finds a Home at Jacksonville State

After being kicked off the team at LSU, today, Ryan Perrilloux has announced that he’s transferred to Jacksonville State.
It’s not really a surprise there – the starting quarterback position will be all his since former QB Cedric Johnson was kicked off team for violating team rules. All of the other potential quarterbacks there either graduated or left the team.
Because Jacksonville State is a Football Championship Subdivision team, Perrilloux won’t have to sit out a year. He has two years of eligibility left.
Jacksonville State coach Jack Crowe spoke to the family of Perrilloux earlier this month about the possibility of transferring to the school. Crowe also spoke with LSU coach Les Miles, who explained Perrilloux’s situation to Crowe.
“Les was very kind to spend quite a bit of time explaining the situation to me,” Crowe told The Associated Press. “He’s very optimistic about him being a successful player and a successful student-athlete.”
