Don’t tell Kenny Perry he’s too old to win the Masters Tournament. The 48-year-old Kentuckian is playing one of the best tournaments of his career and is tied for the lead after three rounds with Argentina’s Angel Cabrera. Should Perry win tomorrow, he’ll be the oldest man to win a major golf championship.

Perry is no stranger to competition. He has 13 PGA wins since turning pro in 1982. He was also a catalyst to Team USA’s Ryder Cup win last year in Perry’s native Kentucky. Previously, the best he has finished at Augusta is 12th (in 1995).
Others are close behind. Round two’s co-leader, Chad Campbell is only two strokes off the lead at -9 and Jim Furyk carded a 68 today to put him at -8 for the tournament.
