Congress is a poor example for your personal financesMy third personal finance tip is a tongue-in-cheek “don’t” from Miki Saxon at Leadership Turn:

Don’t manage your money as Congress manages ours.

The way Congress “balances” its budget by shifting numbers around and “borrowing” from the retirement account that is the Social Security trust, and constantly deficit spends without prioritizing, offers a perfect example of how not to run your personal finances.
