Being Unique is Who We Are

Social media has been refreshing to me. You may not guess this, but I have historically been quite shy. What I love about social media and social networking is that I can express myself, from behind the screen. The screen allows me to feel private in a public way!

Many times in our lives we try and conform. In fact we are urged to conform through uniforms, through rules and regulations etc

However, somewhere along the line we forget that each human being is unique. In our uniqueness lies our personal brand and instead of hiding that on the web, we should express it. Being unique is who we are, it is part of our destiny and part of the legacy which we will leave behind.

I suppose over time I have realised that being proud of my uniqueness is an important element of networking. It is not something that we should hide, it is something we should shine a light on and realise we were born unique, to be unique!
