Peter Molyneux – Does this guy ever stop interviewing?
In the wake of Peter Molyneux’s newest hit game, Fable II, there sure has been a lot of Peter seen around the internet. It’s like the guy can go on forever talking about why they did what they did to Fable II and how much better it is from Fable and on and on and on. This guy NEVER STOPS TALKING.
In his most recent onslaught against gaming fans in the developer magazine, Develop, Peter Molyneux explains once again the many strengths and weaknesses of Fable and how they vowed to take all those complaints and address them with Fable II.
He says there’s more weapons than Fable. Then he says the world is three times the size of the original. He talked about how one of their weak spots with Fable was their writing and storyline; so he hired more scripters and writers to make a better storyline (Honestly, he probably needs to find better writers STILL. Maybe he can find some SUPER writers for Fable III, because the writing isn’t up to par with a lot of other RPGs). Then he talks about how he likes to set his head on fire at nights when he’s sitting alone on his couch thinking of more things to talk about with the thousands of interviews he’s planning on doing within the next few days.
Don’t get me wrong. I love me some Fable II and after my initial blog post and playing for more than two hours, I think it’s beyond awesome. The storyline has definitely picked up AND I absolutely love the combat in the game. I’m not much of a combat person, but the things Fable II lets you do is amazing and super fun. Plus, I’m well on my way to become a slum Lord and owning all the buildings in the land!
And you won’t see ME fixing the plumbing in the houses. That’s for SURE.
So, Peter… Keep on making games. Just take the incessant interviewing down a knotch. You’ll make the world a better place.
