Pink, Purple, and the Elite Eight

You know that little March Madness blog pool we’re in with five other sports bloggers? We’re happy to announce that the Pink and Purple bloggerette is holding her own as we kick off the Elite Eight round.

At the start of the Sweet Sixteen round, we were tied for first place with Apples and Moustaches. Things got a little shaky after Thursday’s games and we dipped to third (thanks to the early exits of Duke, UCONN, and Georgetown. We’ve decided to make them the scapegoats if we ultimately lose this thing whether they’re old news or not).

But because Kansas, Texas, and Memphis pulled through on Friday, we’re back to kicking tush in the #1 slot.

Here’s how the rest are faring:

Second place–The Battle of California

Third place–The Sports Lounge

Fourth place–The Play in CA

Fifth place–Apples and Moustaches (What happened?!)

Sixth place–Bears Necessity

Now, if North Carolina, Memphis, and UCLA make it to the Final Four, we’re in good shape. Well, we’re in good shape anyway, but that has more to do with the gym than anything else. Even so.
